The Dos and Dont's are endless but the following are important:

Before you start planning for a trip abroad you should ensure that due to the current Pandemic, you are legally permitted to travel, under the current UK COVID-19 Travel Restrictions.

All travellers in your party should have a valid Passport. Check that all Passports have at least 6 months left before their expiry date. You could be denied entry into your Country of return if your Passport is not up to date.

You should ensure that you have adequate Travel Insurance for yourself and your party, to cover at least most or all eventualities.

The UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC) lets you avail of healthcare in Europe at a reduced cost or sometimes for free.

If you have a UK European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) it will be valid until the expiry date on the card. Once it expires, you’ll need to apply for a GHIC to replace it.

A GHIC or EHIC cards do not replace Travel Insurance.
